United Sail Works was founded in 1922 by master sailmaker Ernest Spracklin. Over the decades, our sails have powered famous vessels and supported world-renowned explorers, including Capt. Bob Bartlett and Jacques Cousteau.

Under the leadership of Milton Spracklin Sr. and eventually Milton Jr., the shop transitioned from traditional sailmaking to include modern canvas solutions while maintaining the rigorous standards of our maritime roots.

Our work has even been featured on the global stage, providing specialized canvas and sail work for major motion pictures including Titanic and Orca.
